I'm Danny Tao. I live in San José, CA, where I engineer the future of aerospace.

I've been fascinated by aerospace engineering and the physics of flight since I was young. My passion for understanding how things work led me to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Astronomy at San José State University, graduating with a 3.705 GPA.

During my undergraduate studies, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory) on solar-powered architecture for CubeSats. This experience allowed me to perform orbit simulations in MATLAB, analyze cost and efficiency metrics, and enhance my understanding of space mission optimization.

My senior capstone project involved designing and launching a self-orienting model rocket, where I served as the controls lead. I performed dynamic analysis, used MATLAB and Simulink for simulations, and successfully tuned motor timings to achieve precise landing velocities within 2 m/s.

Currently, I'm pursuing my Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering at SJSU, specializing in structural and thermal analysis, aerospace controls engineering, and dynamics. When I'm not diving deep into the physics of the universe, you'll find me gaming with friends or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen — I'm quite the passionate home cook!
